Dave Birss's hands-on generative AI course

Next, let’s shift gears and get hands on with an entertaining course by Dave Birss. He has an earlier course covering similar material that’s part of LinkedIn Learning’s AI Literacy path, but I’m recommending the more recently created How to Research and Write Using Generative AI Tools.

This is an excellent course for anyone who wants a pragmatic and entertaining course that demystifies prompting and illuminates how to coax AI into handling more complex tasks. While many of Dave’s use-cases are written for a business audience (he’s a marketing guy) and may not map exactly to higher ed, it’s not too heavy a lift to extrapolate the techniques to other domains.
